 From the kick off Barking appeared to be coping the best. Possession was very high in the first 15 minutes of the game with the ball being mainly in the opposing half. A few half chances were created without really threatening the goal, all going to plan. Cray’s first attack should have been stopped in the centre circle but the forward got clean through the tackle and his run took him inside our box and he duly converted. The goal disappointed us but attitudes were positive and we couldn't see us not getting back into the game. Cray swallowed up our attacks and the flowing wind made the ball run away from us up front. We were on the front foot when their centre half misjudged his touch and Lee Spiers was quickly onto the loose ball and went through with the keeper to beat only to lift it into his arms. |
