Barking FC offers an exciting football experience to local youth teams at the Mayesbrook Stadium
 
 

As you may (or may not) be aware Barking FC can offer pre-match coaching, LBBD team penalty competitions, holiday skills day coaching, life skills and football education. Dates regularly appear on this website on our news page - please regularly check back for updates.

To give you a taste of what the above may entail take a look at the below video which was taken at one of our events at Mayesbrook Park in the summer of 2009.
 
 

We will be holding pre-match FA Skills training for youth teams at home first team games.

All youth teams for both girls and boys are very welcome to apply for one of the events. At each event the teams will be received by the first team coach a couple of hours before kick-off.

Training on the pitch will be technical and tactical fun sessions, that we hope will improve team and individual performance. Match practice will be a major part of the session.

Teams will be on the pitch for one hour, prior to kick-off with a rest off the pitch until half time where they will take part in a penalty competition.

To secure a place for a team please email the club via secretary@barking-fc.co.uk. All coaching is free but a returnable deposit of £15 is required (cheques made payable to Barking FC). This will ensure that teams turn up to the event and stops disappointment for other teams.

Following our first event on August 10th, 2010 we received the following tribute for our Under 11's team from Mr Geoff Combes:

"Having thoroughly enjoyed last night's game with Mauritius I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the players from your junior team throughout the evening.
Their behaviour throughout the game, which they clearly enjoyed, was outstanding and their observance of the minutes silence before the game was immaculate.
We hear so much about ill-behaved young people and often such groups can, with their apparent inability to remain in one place for more than a few minutes, spoil the enjoyment of a match for old gits like me. Last night I found their presence added to my enjoyment of the game.
All at Barking F.C., the parents and, most of all, these young men can be very proud, they are without doubt a credit to all concerned."

Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping School
The Vince Nicoll Goalkeeping School runs goalkeeping training at Barking Football Club on Monday Nights starting at 5.45pm, cost £6 per keeper per session. For more information please phone 07899814181.
