Under 18's through to FA Youth cup first round 30th October 2005

Our Under 18’s side managed by Dave Ross moved into the first round proper of the FA Youth cup by beating Bury Town 4-3 at Mayesbrook Park. After leading 3-0 with goals from Bradley Ross, Chris Clayton and Tom Mottram, Bury struck back with three goals in the last twenty minutes. They were denied by a second Bradley Ross goal in the seventh minute of injury time - lobbing over the keeper to send them through to a home tie with Sutton United on a date to be advised in December.

New signing 28th October 2005

The Blues have signed a new midfielder in the guise of Michael Lenahan. Michael or "Taffy" is a midfielder last season played for Aveley who he joined from Leek Town in October 2003 and was part of the starting line-up at Dartford on Tuesday.

Wakering game off 22nd October 2005

The Essex Senior cup third round tie against Great Wakering Rovers due to be played on November 22nd has now been postponed, an alternative date will be confirmed in due course.

The Essex Senior cup third round tie against Great Wakering Rovers has now been arranged for Tuesday November 22nd at Mayesbrook Park kick off 7:45pm. Also, the Essex Thameside trophy first round match away to Witham Town has been agreed for Tuesday December 13th kick off 7:45pm.

Under 18's through in FA Youth cup 17th October 2005

The Under 18's team moved unhindered into the third (and final) qualifying round of the FA Youth cup yesterday at Mayesbrook Park when they beat their counterparts from Marlow 2-0 with goals from Tommy Mottram and Peter Johnson. This is the second year running that Dave Ross's side have reached this stage of the competition and will be at home again when they entertain Bury Town on Sunday October 30th kick off 3pm with a place in the first round proper at stake. Looking further forward should the Under 18's run continue another home match beckons against either Sutton United or Mile Oak.

London Senior cup date 17th October 2005

The London Senior cup first round tie against Cray Wanderers has now been arranged for Tuesday November 8th at Mayesbrook Park kick off 7:45pm.

Essex Senior cup draw 15th October 2005

The draw for the third round of the Essex Senior cup has been made and the Blues have been handed a home tie with Great Wakering Rovers on a date to be confirmed.

New signing 6th October 2005

In the run up to Saturday's game at Wingate & Finchley the Blues have signed Liam Baptiste from Wealdstone. Liam was previously with Barking in season 2003-04 on loan from Waltham Forest making nine appearances, scoring three goals.

Ladies have new sponsor 3rd October 2005

The Ladies team have annouced a new shirt sponsorship deal for 2005-06. The name of the University of East London will soon be adorning their shirts. 

Under 18's cup update 2nd October 2005

In the FA Youth Cup, following last Tuesday's 5-3 victory over Leyton the Under 18's now face Marlow at Mayesbrook Park in the second qualifying round on Sunday October 16th kick off 3pm.

Ton up Sam 1st October 2005

Congratulations to Sam Taylor who made his 100th appearance in today's game against Stamford. Sam was originally signed by Richard Thomas back in 2001 and since his return to the club last season he has continually caught the eye with dashing wing back play.
