| Under 18's bow out 30th November 2005 |
Our Under 18's spirited FA Youth Cup run came to an end last night at Layer Road the home of Colchester United by going 3-2 to their professional opponents in front of 292 people. Despite being 2-0 down at half time they pulled a goal back through Tom Mottram on 77 minutes only for their opponents to extend their lead and Bradley Ross made it 2-3. Despite a couple of late scares from the young Barking team, Colchester held on until the final whistle.
Nevertheless the players, coach Bert Hoyte and Manager Dave Ross should all be proud of their achievement and take consolation that this was only their second league and cup defeat all season. |
