Reserves update 31st March 2007

After two consecutive defeats  Barking’s Reserve team returned to winning ways on Saturday when they beat eighth place Bowers and Pitsea at Mayesbrook Park. The only goal of the game was scored by defender John Hilton his second of the season.

This result takes Barking up one place, replacing their opponents in eighth place. On Monday night the Reserves travel to Bowers for the reverse fixture 7.45pm kick off.

Reserves beaten 28th March 2007

Barking Reserves lost heavily to top of the table side Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Road last night. Barking's task was increased when Dagenham and Redbridge announced six first team regulars in their starting line up, two of them coming on the previous evening at Oxford United and one scoring.  

On Saturday the Reserves are at home to Bowers and Pitsea before travelling to the same opposition on Monday night. 

Reserves latest 25th March 2007

The Reserves lost their first home league game of the season to local rivals Ilford at Mayesbrook today. Ilford scored either side of the break to achieve the double over Barking this season.

 

On Tuesday the reserves take a short trip across the borough to play Dagenham and Redbridge, before returning home to play Bowers and Pitsea on Saturday and play the return match on Monday April 2nd.

 

It was also confirmed today that Brentwood Town will be our opponents in the Semi Final of the Fred Budden Trophy, with the game to be played on 17th April. The same sides will meet again the following Saturday (21st April) in the league. 

 

New signing 19th March 2007

Barking are pleased to announce the loan signing of Ryan Sammons from East Thurrock United. Ryan, 19 can play in Defence or Midfield. He also has had Ryman League experience with Aveley and Essex Senior League experience this season with Concord Rangers.
It is expected that Ryan will be available for selection this week.

Injuries/Suspension update 11th March 2007

Matty West was injured during the Romford game but the extent is not yet known. Following his dismissal against Romford Wayne Vaughan will be suspended from March 31st for one or more games and will miss the League Cup semi final second leg. Stuart Brown has a damaged hamstring, Fabio Jesus a broken foot, Ryan Doyle and Troy Braham are unfortunately suffering long term injury but Ryan hopes to resume training soon.

On a positive note Michael Lee returned from injury playing for the Reserves in yesterday’s 4-2 win at Billericay Town.

Beaumont date change 11th March 2007

The Easter Monday away league game at Beaumont Athletic has been re-arranged. It will now take place on Monday April 2nd kick off 7:45pm at the Mile End stadium.

The final match to be arranged an away league game at Concord Rangers has been rescheduled for Thursday March 22nd kick-off 7:45pm.

Basildon game arranged 9th March 2007

The outstanding home league game to Basildon United has been arranged. It will be played on Saturday April 14th kick-off 3pm.

Squad news 7th March 2007

Jamie Murat is suffering from a groin injury, Stuart Brown has a damaged hamstring, Fabio Jesus a broken foot, Troy Braham is unfortunately suffering long term injury and Michael Lee missed the Clapton game due to injury and is “cup tied” for the Barkingside and Romford semi finals, as is Aaron Gayle.

On a positive note Ryan Doyle starts training again in two weeks and hopes to be fit again before the end of the season.
