Ladies receive £5000 grant 10th June 2004

Barking Ladies received news this week that they were successful in their application for a local network fund grant from the London North East Community Foundation. This is to assist them in running a football tournament for their Under 14/15 girls on 30th July 2004 at Barking Football Club. Five local teams have been invited and a Danish girl’s team from Herfulsholm will also be joining in.

Commercial Manager Debbie Moore said ' This is a great opportunity for Barking Ladies to run a tournament and host a foreign football team in the community. This is a good time to promote girls football in the borough and invite local residents to come and enjoy the day. It is a great community project and without this grant it would not be possible.' Tournament will be held at Barking Football Club/Mayesbrook Park on Friday 30th July at 11am - all are welcome.
