In an earlier round they beat Great Wakering Rovers Reserves 3-1 and are currently fourth in Division 1. The game is to be played by February 2nd. The Reserves have no game on Saturday but are away to Dagenham & Redbridge Reserves on Monday the 28th in the Combination in which we are third, two places above the Daggers.

Friendly draw 10th January 2008

Last night (Wednesday) at the Cricklefields Barking took on Ilford in a friendly match which ended in a 0-0 draw - although this was not for the want of trying by either side. We did have the ball in the net during the first half but it was disallowed for offside. The number of changes at the start and ongoing in the second period only contributed to the stalemate. Included in the Barking squad were Easton Davis, Tristan Cools-Lartique, Tom Mottram, Craig Greenwood Daniel Tapper, Abraham Adejokun, Daniel Scadden, Jovan Laronde, Steve Onana and Bobby Singh along with a number of triallists that Dave Ross was running his eye over. One point of interest was the first half appearance of former Blue and ex-pro for QPR and Tottenham Steve Slade.

The Ilford side was under the guidance of our former Reserve team manager Tony Myers and Roger Chilvers who served Barking as secretary for a number of years ran the line.

Ilford friendly 5th January 2008

This coming Wednesday (January 9th) at the Cricklefields stadium there has been a friendly match arranged with Ilford FC. As Ilford have recently changed their management they are looking to try out new players, likewise Dave Ross will be looking to give players who haven't featured a run out along with running his eye over some trialists.

Kick-off is 7:45pm and if you are not doing anything please come along
