Under 18's go for record 27th February 2006

Not content with equalling the club record of eleven successive victories (set by the first team in 1927/28 and
in the Isthmian League Championship winning season 1978/79) before Christmas, the Under 18’s side has equalled it again with Sunday’s 3-1 defeat of Romford in the Eastern Junior Alliance. Victory against as yet unknown opponents on Sunday will set a new club record. In all games we have the astonishing record of P 25 W 23 L 2 F 105 A 26 with Bradley Ross scoring 29, Remi Nelson 15, Danny Cook 14, Tom Mottram 9 and Karl Sanderson 9.

Both defeats were by a single goal, 0-1 to Dagenham & Redbridge and 2-3 away to Colchester United U18 in the FA Youth Cup second round. We have subsequently beaten Dagenham twice and the only team we have not beaten this season so far is Colchester United. We are now in the London Youth Cup final and the semi finals of the Essex FA Pelly Cup, the Eastern Junior Alliance League Cup and the Magnus Cup.

Under 18's do it again 20th February 2006

The Under 18's made their fourth semi final of the season yesterday when they beat Redbridge 4-0 in the Eastern Junior League Cup semi final. The game was scheduled to be played at Redbridge's Oakside ground - however, the game was actually postponed due to a waterlogged pitch - but due to the efforts of the Under 18's Manager Dave Ross the game was switched to the Warren School which paid dividends. It has been announced that Barnet who have been undefeated throughout the current season have withdrawn from the Eastern Junior Alliance league, which now leaves the Under 18's seventeen points behind Leyton (who they have still to play twice) in top spot with ten games in hand. The Under 18's return to league action next Sunday when they visit Romford kick off 11am.
