John Morgan, who has yet to appear in a competitive game this season, has completed his suspension and should be available for selection for tomorrow’s game at Berkhamsted. |

| Reserves up to third 27th August 2004 |
Barking & EHU Reserves, managed by former Barkingside first team manager Tony Myers, have climbed to third place in the Essex, Hertfordshire and Bordering Counties Combination despite taking just one point from our first six. A home 1-1 draw with Concord Rangers was followed by a 0-6 reverse at Leyton but the players have shown great character to bounce back with a brace of 3-2 victories. An away triumph over East Thurrock United was followed last night by a superb 3-2 defeat of previously undefeated second placed Heybridge Swifts. Tony Field and Aggray Obiero have two goals each so far with Danny Steele, Joe Turner and Dave Reilly completing the scoring. While praising all his players Tony Myers paid particular tribute to youth team ‘keeper Mark Parker whose second half saves against Heybridge ensured maximum points. |

| New loan signings 21st August 2004 |
Dennis Elliott has made two loan signings prior to Saturday's game against Boreham Wood - both players have been signed from Redbridge FC for a period of one month.
Wayne Vaughan is a Striker who was at Grays last season and has started both of Redbridge's games this season.
The second player needs no introduction, Left Back Sam Taylor made 49 appearances under previous Manager Richard Thomas and spent last season at Billericay.
Both players will be available for selection tomorrow. |

The following players will form part of Dennis Elliott's squad for the forthcoming season - in alphabetical order:- Dean Allen, Darren Bennett, Carl Bruce, Lee Carter, Jay Devereux, Mark Fay, Jonathan Higgs, Ashley Marsh, Ebow Mensah, John Morgan, John O'Sullivan, Declan Perkins, Billy Read, David Reilly, Nick Savidge, Gregg Thompson, Tony Tucker, Gary Waters, Ben Willis and Bradley Woodards.
For the statistically minded out of the twenty players named above sixteen played for the Blues last season, of the summer signings Reilly, O'Sullivan and Waters have previously worn a Blue shirt leaving Declan Perkins as the sole "new boy".

No longer will visitors to Mayesbrook Park think that Barking’s floodlights have failed when the adjacent athletic track lights are switched off. New lights, commissioned by Chairman Peter Webster, are currently being installed as part of the club’s ongoing improvement programme.

An article by Barking and Dagenham Post reporter Nathalie Hoodless has revealed that Barking FC have a partial claim on an Olympic gold medal winner. Billy Quash was captain of Barking Woodville Reserves in 1895-6 before joining the famous Upton Park FC and playing in the Upton Park team which successfully represented Great Britain in the 1900 Olympics.

According to the Non League Paper former Blue hero Leli Bajada is the latest Ex Barking player to win international honours, scoring seven times in England’s 16-0 defeat of Sweden in the Global Learning Disability Games last week.
Delving further into the memory a match at Billericay to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their third FA Vase triumph will include Phil Whettel.

| Ladies play host 2nd August 2004 |

Barking Ladies this past week played host to Herfulsholm GF from Denmark. A week of various events and outings culminated with a six team Under 15's Girls tournament held in Mayesbrook Park on Friday July 30th.

| Admission prices announced 1st August 2004 |
|
It has been decided not to increase the cost of admission to Mayesbrook Park for 2004-05. This means that for the fourth season running supporters will pay £6 for Adults and £3 for Concessions. However, in a bid to encourage younger supporters anybody aged under 16 will be admitted free provided they are accompanied by an adult. There is no restriction on the number of young people who may enter with each adult.
