Cancer Charity match at BFC - Wednesday August 17th 2011

Barking FC are pleased to announce a Grand Charity Match at our Mayesbrook Park
ground on Monday August 29th.

The match is being held for Dylan Tombides (pictured top left) in aid of Cancer Research.

The 17 year old West Ham striker Dylan Tombides was recently diagnosed with Testicular cancer whilst he was away on International duty at the FIFA Under 17s World Cup in Mexico. Dylan immediately returned to England and the Hammers' medical staff arranged for a further assessment by doctors.

Dylan is currently receiving treatment at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London. He will continue further treatment in the coming weeks.

The budding young footballer attended Barking Abbey School along with several of the current Barking FC squad. One of the players, Sam Jones, in support of his good friend, is attempting to raise £1,000 for the Cancer Research UK Charity - Men's Cancer. Sam will be shaving his hair off 'ON THE DAY', anyone who wishes to sponsor him in doing so should contact Sue Jones on 07961 387583.
