 Rob O'Brien has provided the latest news regarding our scholarship scheme which is readily gathering momentum.
"We had approximately another 30 players trialing on Thursday April 15th at the Mayesbrook during the day.
I was happy with the standard and we should assemble a very decent core of players on the scheme for next season.
It's great timing for us to have the scheme starting this year, our 130th anniversary. I'd like to think that this will strengthen our youth team at Under 18 and also at all levels as boys at the younger age start to consider their future both from a footballing and educational front.
There will be further trials during the witsun half term on Friday 4th of June at midday."
Rob signs off with "When we get all the duck's lined up off the pitch I'm sure the club will prosper and get back to playing levels it commands, our scholarship scheme will only enhance this."
