Good value for this hard won point, set the tone early doors and could have been three up by the break. Response from the home side second half, hanging on by the end so perhaps a draw the fair result. Pleased by how we approached this, positive from the start, learnt our lessons from previous encounter and much more solid this time around. Moved the ball well too. Gave our hosts problems all over the pitch and desperately unlucky not to get an early penalty.
Some real backbone to the team at the moment, centre backs disappointed to allow the oppo a shot on target let alone a goal and that a real winner's mentality. Greenwood and Dickinson absolutely outstanding Saturday, the midfield duo Hoppo and Tiffin not far behind. Some punch up front as well, despite the scoreline, Jared a handful all afternoon and perhaps deserved better for his efforts.
Tough test midweek as we travel to Stanway in the Essex Senior cup, some big teams waiting beyond this round so we'll be doing our best to progress further, The team now gelling game by game so respect for our opponents but hopefully nothing to fear.
